Tools Required

Before you start changing a car tire, make sure you have the following tools in the car. These tools are essential to ensure the tire replacement process runs smoothly and safely.

1. Jack (Jack)

First, make sure you have a jack that is appropriate for the weight of your car. This jack will help you lift the car so that the damaged tire can be removed and replaced with a spare tire.

2. Wheel Lock (Lug Wrench)

Next, you need a wheel wrench that matches the size of the nuts on your car's wheels. This wheel wrench is used to remove and tighten the wheel nuts. Make sure the wheel lock is in good condition and not damaged.

3. Spare Tire

Make sure you have a spare tire in good condition and enough air in the car. This spare tire should be checked periodically to ensure it has sufficient air pressure and there is no damage.

4. Safety Triangle

Don't forget to keep a safety triangle in the car. The safety triangle is useful for signaling to other drivers that you are stopping on the side of the road. The use of a safety triangle is an important procedure in an emergency.

5. Center

How to Change Car Tires

If you are forced to change a tire in the middle of a trip, here are the steps you can follow carefully and thoroughly to change your own car tire safely and effectively:

1. Find a Flat and Safe Place

Move the car to a safe, level place and away from traffic. Make sure the area is large enough to change the tire comfortably.

2. Install Safety Triangle

Place a safety triangle a few meters behind the car to warn other drivers of your presence on the side of the road.

3. Remove the wheel nut

Use a wheel wrench to loosen the wheel nuts on the tires to be replaced. Do not remove it completely, just loosen it to make it easier when the tire is lifted.

4. Lift the Car with a Jack

Place the jack below the car's manufacturer's recommended lifting point, usually near the wheel to be replaced. Lift the car until the damaged tire is off the ground.

5. Remove Damaged Tires

Once the car has been lifted safely using a jack, completely remove the wheel nuts that were loosened previously. Then remove the damaged tire from the car.

6. Install the Spare Tire

Install the spare tire by pointing the hole in the wheel heart upwards. Reinstall the wheel nuts by hand until they are tight to secure the new tire.

7. Lower the car jack slowly

Slowly lower the car by loosening the jack until the spare tire touches the ground. Make sure the jack is removed carefully and safely.

8. Tighten Wheel Nuts

Tighten the wheel nuts diagonally (across) with the wheel wrench to ensure all nuts are installed tightly and evenly.

9. Check Wheel Nuts

Once all the lug nuts are tightened, double check to make sure none are loose. Make sure all components are installed properly before driving the car.
